“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.”
- Lewis Carroll
Hello!
I’ve had a week worth remembering that I will probably forget sooner than I’d like to. Sometimes I think about the cons of my infamously poor memory, but I also realize that it pushes me to try and cherish the moment itself rather than creating a memory to reminisce later.
The quote we started with, however awesome, is a reminder of two things for me:
It is okay to not know where you’re going.
You cannot possibly agree with every quote you see on the internet.
Here’s a song to serve as a backdrop for this read:
I recall sharing a part of this article before but if you haven’t read the whole thing, you should: https://www.instapaper.com/read/1499229360/19525095. It’s about climbing a mountain that doesn’t exist and goes right in line with last week’s newsletter if you read it - infinite chases.
I saw friends I hadn’t seen in quite a while this week, and if there’s one thing I can share from the wholesomeness, it’s the painful realization that we’re all growing up quite fast. At a very young age, our conversations have started to revolve mostly around work, office life, and so on. A consequence of starting to work early? Probably. Most of you reading this are also very likely to be part of the first generation to have started working at a young age - it has its pros & cons, as all things do.
I’m partial towards it being a good decision, all things considered. But, this is a great conversation piece for a later time. For now, I’m going to leave you with another great read I came across this week: The Fisherman and the Investment Banker (Click here)
I hope you had a great week, I did.
Love,
sif.
